Shigeno Daigo is an elementary student whose father, Goro, is a professional baseball player. Inspired by his father, who was once a Major League player, Daigo started playing baseball with the Mifune Dolphins, a youth team. However, he was unable to live up to the expectations of being the son of a professional, and quit baseball after less than a year. Then, in the spring of his sixth-grade year, Daigo's school welcomes a transfer student, Sato Hikaru, whose father is Sato Toshiya, a former Major League player and Goro's close friend. The fate of these two young men begins to move forward!

Het centrale thema van de serie is de strijd tussen (Dr) James "Jim" Hacker (gespeeld door Paul Eddington), de pasbenoemde minister in het (fictieve) ministerie van Bestuurlijke Zaken en zijn ambtenaren en ministeriële collega's. Nigel Hawthorne speelt Sir Humphrey Appleby, KCB, MVO, MA (Oxon), een hoge ambtenaar, secretaris-generaal van het ministerie van Bestuurlijke Zaken, met Derek Fowlds in een belangrijke ondersteunende rol als Hackers persoonlijke secretaris, Bernard Woolley. Woolley is steeds de 'man in the middle', verscheurd door zijn persoonlijke loyaliteit aan Hacker en zijn werkrelatie met Sir Humphrey, die zijn baas is. Wanneer Hacker na 1984 premier wordt, is Sir Humphrey juist ook gepromoveerd tot secretaris-generaal op 'No. 10' en Hacker benoemt Bernard Woolley als zijn eerste persoonlijke secretaris op zijn nieuwe post. De humor van de serie ligt vooral besloten in het conflict tussen de minister (die denkt dat hij de macht in handen heeft) en de ambtenarij, die in werkelijkheid het land bestuurt. Steeds opnieuw probeert Jim Hacker een bepaald politiek doel te bereiken, waarbij hij wordt tegengewerkt door Sir Humphrey, die de status quo probeert te handhaven en elke vorm van ambitie per definitie afwijst. Andere vaste onderdelen zijn Sir Humphreys ingewikkelde volzinnen en cynisme en Hackers neiging om lachwekkende Churchilliaanse speeches uit te spreken wanneer hij politiek geïnspireerd is en het vlak na het verkondigen van een mening onder druk overgaan naar het tegenovergestelde. Yes, Minister en Yes, Prime Minister worden door politicologen geroemd om hun accurate portret van het landsbestuur.[1] Iedere aflevering eindigt als sir Humphrey zegt: "Yes minister!" of "Yes prime minister!" Er werd in 2009 ook een Nederlandse variant van de comedy uitgezonden door de VPRO met de naam Sorry Minister. In 2013 werd er een nieuwe reeks van Yes, Prime Minister gemaakt. Hierin vertolkte David Haig de rol van Jim Hacker en nam Henry Goodman de rol van Sir Humphrey voor zijn rekening. De scenario's werden, net als in de originele reeks, geschreven door Antony Jay en Jonathan Lynn. De reeks werd uitgezonden op de Britse zender UKTV Gold. UFO Hunters is an American television series that premiered on January 30, 2008 on The History Channel, produced by Motion Picture Production Inc., and ran for three seasons. Jon Alon Walz was the Executive Producer of the show and was responsible for selling the series to History Channel after a bidding war for the rights to the show broke out between History Channel and Sci-Fi Channel. The concept for the show was tested in a segment of History Channel's 2006 UFO special entitled "Deep Sea UFOs", produced by Motion Picture Production Inc, which featured two of the final four cast members. "UFO Hunters" was not a spin-off from a 2005 History Channel special with the same title. The tagline of the show is: Hoax or History? The series should not be confused with a similarly themed and titled UFO Hunters, a special that debuted the same day and time on the Sci-Fi Channel, and created by the producers of Ghost Hunters, but which only aired one episode. In the US, History Channel only released the first two seasons on DVD in the correct airdate order. However, the format was only released in full screen instead of wide screen. In the UK, History Channel released the third and final season on DVD however, the episodes were released in the incorrect airdate order.
