'Moedig' is het woord dat we daarvoor gebruiken, maar de broertjes De Smet & co moesten toch wennen aan de nieuwe theatrale vorm. Deze dvd is vijf maanden na het begin van de tournee opgenomen, waardoor het geheel al vlot loopt. Maar vooral brengt zo'n opname je veel dichter bij de acteurs/zangers. Je ziet de blikken beter, voelt de songs beter aan, kunt de acrobatie van nabij bewonderen. Dat is geen klein verschil, want De Nieuwe Snaar is een doodeerlijk gezelschap dat de kunst van het vertellen hoog in het vaandel draagt, ambachtelijkheid propageert, en na al die jaren nog zenuwachtig wordt als er iets nieuws geprobeerd wordt. De heren stellen zich geregeld heel kwetsbaar op, zoals wanneer Jan De Smet a capella over zijn vader zingt. Wie genoeg heeft aan de muziek kan ook gewoon de cd kopen.

Much like the infamous match between Bret Hart and Tom Magee, a piece of PROGRESS history has recently been uncovered. The former Progress announcer, Jimmy Barnett, has been sharing his memories of a show from May 26th, 1988. Last year he was kind enough to offer his recollections of a very early PROGRESS from way back in May of 1978 (PROGRESS even found the footage in their vault), and it's a rare treat to get details of another historical show from a man on the inside.
