Tot op heden in China verboden film over een jonge homoseksuele schrijver die regelmatig in een park mannen oppikt en bij voorkeur de onderdanige masochistische rol op zich neemt. Homoseksualiteit is in China behalve in films ook in de werkelijkheid een nog streng verboden onderwerp. In het park waar homoseksuele mannen elkaar oppikken wordt ook streng gepatrouilleerd door de politie. Wanneer zij worden betrapt, worden de mannen verjaagd, vernederd of zelfs gearresteerd. De jonge schrijver A-Lan wordt ook betrapt maar in een opwelling geeft hij de agent die hem aanhoudt een zoen op zijn wang en gaat er vandoor. Later stuurt hij de agent een door hem geschreven roman met de opdracht 'For my Love'. Dat maakt Shi, de agent in kwestie, nieuwsgierig. Hij gaat speciaal op zoek naar A-Lan, arresteert hem en verhoort hem uren. Terwijl A-Lan hem vertelt over zijn jeugd, zijn zoektocht naar liefde en homoseksuele contacten raakt Shi steeds meer gefascineerd door A-Lan.
